Re: How do i swap LT1 taillights into an LS1?? I believe he's refering to Camaro taillights, not T/A....no honeycomb. I do agree w/you though about T/A honeycombs looking badass!
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but the LT1's used 3 bulbs and ours only use 2...or do I have that backwards? Been so long since I messed aroung back there that I can't remember.
I'm pretty sure I read a writeup on camaroz28.com about this. If you search there for "sequential taillight mod" you can probably find it.
FWIW, I like the Camaro LT1s better too. Gets rid of that yellow polygon & matches the hatch-line better.

Re: How do i swap LT1 taillights into an LS1?? I dont think a camaro tail light will fit on a trans am. lt1 to ls1 will fit no problem and only takes 10 minutes. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Re: How do i swap LT1 taillights into an LS1?? I just installed a pair of '94 tail lights on my 2001 Z-28. The holes for light socket assemblies need to be enlarged to accept the late model tabs. I used a dremmel moto tool to do this, and it took very little time to make the openings large enough to accommodate the bulb asseblies. The units hooked up with no problems after that
My only question cerncerns the inboard lights. On my 2001 Z-28 they operate the turn signals only, and are not illuminated at any other time. I have observed earlier model camaros where the entire red portion of the light housing is lit up. Does any one have ideas for converting an LS1 car so that all 3 lights come on?

Also how much did you pay for your lights?
I bascially stole mine 22.50 at my door!! I thought that was a good deal

Re: How do i swap LT1 taillights into an LS1?? Well I know for certain that LS1 T/A's have 4 bulbs. One for when you back up. Two that stay on all the time and then the smaller one on the corner. The sequentials make all 3 bulbs(not backup) light up when you signal and brake(steady). And the full install gives you a bigger bulb and housing to replace the smaller one.(Need dremel to do that-that was a pain) I've messed around with those lights so much, I can change them blindfolded. lol
