Default Supercharged Polished LS1, Finally Together, Pics>>>

All of you have been a huge inspiration to me with all of your replies about my polishing. THANK YOU!

Finally some sun to take pics. Of course I washed the engine and detailed it after the pics were taken. Still need a few more parts and polishing done to finish, but for now it is 90% done and I am happy. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Thanks Again.

I even purchased all new custom stainless bolts for the water pump, TB, etc. and polished them.
<img src="http://images.cardomain.com/member_img_b/275000-275999/275544_66_full.jpg" alt=" - " />

Still need to detail that TB spring...
<img src="http://images.cardomain.com/member_img_b/275000-275999/275544_63_full.jpg" alt=" - " />

I was not sure about polishing the radiator cover but like it...
<img src="http://images.cardomain.com/member_img_b/275000-275999/275544_70_full.jpg" alt=" - " />

Polished Power Steering Cooler, Supercharger & Bracket...
<img src="http://images.cardomain.com/member_img_b/275000-275999/275544_64_full.jpg" alt=" - " />

Polished Intercoolers, and plate behind them (hard to see), replaced every bolt and polished them.
<img src="http://images.cardomain.com/member_img_b/275000-275999/275544_73_full.jpg" alt=" - " />

Polished Supercharger, all clamps, brackets etc...
<img src="http://images.cardomain.com/member_img_b/275000-275999/275544_74_full.jpg" alt=" - " />

Pic of it all...

Very clean engine and car. You've obviously invested lots of time into it and it shows.

I think one thing you could do that would be cheap and easy is to get some stainless steel hose clams for the ugly factory orange/brown squeeze clamps. The stainless clamps are no more than like seven dollars a piece and look great without any polishing.

I cant describe in words how good that looks Todd. I will now officially NOT be entering the all camaro show this summer. It is now a question of who will take second place in our catagory.

Absolutly beautiful Todd.. youve put a lot of sweat into that engine and it shows <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

It warms my heart to see so many very nice engine compartments being posted lately..

Email about them hose ends.. they are not befitting of the rest of the engine! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Again, great job Todd!!

Wow! todd that thing is perfect. Can you share your secrets on how you polished the aluminum. I started doing my stuff and the parts are real ruff. How did you get smooth before you polished it. What did you use. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

looks UNBELIEVABLE...thats exactly how i want my engine to look...maybe next winter though...one quick question, after u had polished the parts, did u put anything over the aluminum to seal it like "zoop seal"?, also, what kind of polish did u use on the parts to do teh actual polishing on the buffing wheel? looks great!

Thank all of you for your positive response. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I am very proud because I did every bit of the work myself, polished everything top to bottom. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Yes I am going to buy new chrome clamps tomorrow. You all are correct the factory ones look bad. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Embarrassed]" src="gr_emb.gif" />

2GOOD4U...Here is a link to a write up I did. Polishing Tips

bernieblackbird...Your compartment looks awesome, thanks for the compliments.

NataSS Inc...We all have our individual high points with our cars, your is in an awesome league of its own AND LOOKS GREAT. You have some really fantastic accomplishments with yours. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Fenris Ulf...No extra finishes on top of the polishing. I have had parts polished for over a year and the just need a little polish to shine them back up. My car is in a heated garage 65 deg all year around and only goes to shows. I own the eq and wont mind hitting it every couple years keeping it looking good.

Xsta Z 28...Andy, 2 words, SS Vert & Berger. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" /> Your the man!!

restoman45...They do recommend clear coating but I am a rebel, lol.

Blu Beast...Your car is awesome, thanks for the kind words friend, <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

StevenCamaroSS...I will email you to see what you have found as a good clamp. I really respect your car as many others thanks for inspiring, your car will be awesome when done.

Everyone is like a family on all of these boards and it is nice exchanging ideas. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Thank you again,

Todd
