has anyones ashtray ever broke and you fab up a way to hoook it back up? i never really fabricated anything but ive got some crazy (krazyyy) glue so there might be a way to ghetto rig it?

I 'll be using this a iphone dock and fabricate it into the ashtray area in my a4.
So it will be out of the way, i doubt it work in a m6.

I'm doing the same. I have 3 A4 console uppers, one in my Bird isn't broken and the extra one and the one in my WS6 is broken. I'm gonna mod the ashtray cup to sit flush with the console so I can remove the door. It'll hold my iPhone and the plug that connects it to the Monsoon. I haven't gotten anywhere beyond planning it.

Luckily mine hasn't broke... yet but mine hardly ever gets open or used for anything.

Try supergluing it. One of my little hook things that go in the hole broke so all I did was drill a little hole, and screw a screw in it a little screw. Good as new opens and closes now pefrectly.

+1 if you want to make it factory functional.
The li'l ashtray also makes a great spot for quarters, if you are non smoker.

I'm planing to use one of these, and fiberglass the rest of area around it to make it flush & maybe get creative with LEDs.

I looked at those too but the cord for the device that connects my iPhone to my radio isn't a USB. I gotta make a whole piece that'll hold the cord in place. Basically make that dock you showed with an existing cord that I have...from scratch.

There's a factory coin holder in the center console. It holds quarters, dimes, and nickels, and a space below for misc. crap like pennies.
