1998 Trans-Am : 3 Stage Buff Could def. use a wetsand, but I am going to do a full wetsand/buff before I store it in fall.

Presta :
Stage 3 - Ultra Cut Compound w/ Black Pad
Stage 2 - Chrome Compound w/ Green Pad
Stage 1 - Ultra Fine Cut w/ Blue Pad
Speeds :
Stage 3 - 1000
Stage 2 - 1400
Stage 3 - 2200-2600
Finished with :
Cherry Flash hand wax

Just a little FYI between NBM owners, you could get over your head by wetsanding, unless you really don't like the factory orange peel. Yearly polishing works wonders.

Not so much for the orange peal, but for the minor swirls/scuffs that are a little to deep for the heavy cut to get.
But you can really see the metallic in the paint, and the purple side hue pop in this car now.
Good for 1 3/4 hrs work. lol
you can get all of the swirls out without wetsanding. i used a rotary buffer and polishing compound. took about 3 coats, just never have a drive thru car wash done those things will kill you paint every time
