Seattle Roadster Show Results...1st place in class!
I am sorry for posting 2 threads together but I am soooo happy!
I can not tell you how excited I am. I am sitting here looking at a 42" tall Class Winner Trophy from the Seattle Roadster Show.
I will have the scoring mailed for you all to look at in a couple weeks. It was explained that it took about 1hr per car to judge from top to bottom.
The story went like this...
***In third place the 1999 or 2000 something Lingenfelter Vette.
***In second place (have a pic of the car not sure what it exactly is) a 1960 something Falcon, yellow with flames takes third.
At this point I was like ok, that is a really nice car and no biggie I did not win anything, but happy and proud to be here.
***Then...The class winner is a beautiful black 2001 Camaro owned by Todd Kimmell. My jittery legs kicked in and walked to the stage to receive the trophy. Along the way to the stage the Camaro club folks (who were there with their cars) were shaking my hand.
What a rush!!! I still can not believe it.
I want to THANK you all for allowing me to share this very special moment.
Really in IMO what won it was being CLEAN UNDER the car. Remember judging is not about modding or types of mods
(only in local show & shines where people vote)
but each car is judged against a criteria of how pristine/clean it is. The cars I won against I do not think were as clean underneath.
Here is where I think the scale tipped in my direction....
Thanks for putting up with my posts.

Todd, That is great news, like I've said before you've come along way since your first mod ( Mobil 1 oil cap ). We also want to see some pics of you and the trophy. Congrats.

WAY TO GO!!! im so proud "sniff sniff..."
Thanks for representing us so well at the show and for going that extra mile it takes to be #1!.. I always tell people that its doing the things that others miss that makes a car stand out.. You really have "embraced the madness" and congrats on your deserved win!

You guys make me so happy I feel like going out and polishing something on my car.
I posted this on the first Seattle Roadster post and want to say it again, the F-body / LS1 folks locally here were a HUGE support they offered to help me and all gathered on the first day of the show to rally for the car to win.
Big thanks again for their friendship and support!!
willis 00... I took and cut small towels to fit between the springs and pulled the towel back and fourth to clean them, I even replaced the bolt on the SFC's, tunnel brace, roll cage etc., with stainless bolts, sanded and polished each one. The exhaust "y" pipe was painted using Eastwood brush on high temp 1200 deg paint. It has a consistency like water, I thought it was not going to work but when heated it bonded perfect.
MadIceV8... California Car cover and it is made by Race Deck, same as Andy's garage floor. About $300 for the ends of the car then I had a floor banner made to "connect" the wheels in the center.
WAHUSKER...My friend and neighbor who is part of the LS1 support gang here! Thanks again buddy
HOTROD98Z... 42 inches tall to be exact, they do not mess around with size. It was presented by models and the show directors were dressed in Tuxes.
Steve1969LS1... Seriously, I have learned tons from you and you are correct. Cars compete against the judge’s book not totally on the mods. Being tasteful is a big key. 3rd place was a 427 Lingenfelter Vette, 2nd was a 63 Nova flames and detailed very nice. The judges told the story. Thanks for all you help Steve.
Mark IXZD 150...I was thinking of you bud...
Another pic of my car...had to do it again...
Thanks again!!

Good job and you definitely earned it! Quick question: Where did you get the checkered floor and how much? You can PM me the answer or post it on here.
