I got my PC kit in today from Autogxxk and took my time learning the PC and the compounds that I chosen. It was pretty much and all day evolution "cutting" and got some polishing done. I enjoyed it very much but DAMN my back hurts now lol! My question is this: I cleaned my pads with warm water and a small drop of soap in the kitchen sink. Afterwards, the pads looked "like new" condition. I squirted them very lightly with the PXT conditioner and threw them in a large ziplock bag (air tight). It that a good way to store the pads after use?

I need to buy stock in Porter Cable with everyone here buying them lol. Maybe Porter Cable will send me a free one as a thank you? If you guys are listening, I'd be very happy to receive one

I will usually spin dry my pads on my rotary then let them air dry in a large plastic container. Once 100% dry I put them in another large container and close the lid, but its not air-tight. You might have a moisture problem with ziplocks.
Moisture = bad...Gotcha (btw, found the bucket cleaning vid on the website, pretty cool!)
Thanks!
again, can't thank you enough for doing this thread.

Conrad- what methods are you going to use to eliminate the RIDS?

For the RIDS, I'm not sure yet. Maybe I will get a wool pad and use the m105? I'm not sure. But there are very few of them and they don't bother me too much. Although I did notice that the RIDS that were "removed" were actually just hidden- I can still see them in the clear but they are not white, they are blended with the paint color. GoFast, any suggestions on that? I will get pictures soon.
I own a 2008 Lincoln MKZ and the driver's seat side bolster is fading from Black to grey, presumably from wear due to me getting in and out of the car while it's parked on an incline.
I've seen a few "leather repair" and "leather dye" kits online that claim to fix that, but I'm curious what your recommendation would be.
Thanks ahead of time.

BTW this thread has been terrible on my bank account! But my car has never looked better without compounding, however it just took another hit because i ordered a pc and in central illinois its roughly 60 and of course i was wanting to use it so thats the reason for my question. Thanks for all the help, your a life saver!
before

after about 5-6 passes. Wasn't sure how long to work it. I was on speed 5. I primed the pad based on the instruction posted earlier in the post and then added a few drops to the pad to work an area about 1x2 on the roof. The 105 dried pretty quickly and I needed a wet MF to get it off. I then did the 205.

Could you check out my thread again? Got some good correction pictures, I want to see how you would judge it.
Thanks in advance
