Just some feedback but I've used quite a few liquid/paste waxes and I have found my favorite thus far. Automagic EZ paste Carnauba. No additives, no fragrances, just a lot of carnauba. Works well and goes on great and a little elbow grease to get off but the results are outstanding, especially on my yellow Z. Better than some waxes I've paid 50+ bucks for.

Was this from a previous question/recommendation? If not, then would have been better to give it its own thread.

I haven't tried it, so I don't know. However, I'd never buy an OTC wax. Your money is better spent on some Meguiars 301 or Blackfire Wet Diamond - both both superior looks and durability vs OTC products.

I used some BFWD on a car this past weekend. Let it sit on for 24 hours. Damn that stuff is impressive.

Is it true that most (If not all) liquid waxes cannot recreate the "Liquid" look on paint like a paste wax can? I've been reading on different websites and thought I'd ask a pro. Thanks!

*Copied from another site*

"Carnauba waxes have what is known in the industry as a "high jetting factor". This is the ability of a product to produce a liquid-like shimmer on the surface. Advertisers have coined the term "wet-look" to describe this phenomenon. While carnauba can create this wet-look, it has been all but impossible to create it with a liquid carnauba wax."

No, I would not say its true with "good" products. Most over the counter products are a waste of money, so for a $10 wax it may make a difference, but not for a quality product.

Hey man! Long time no talk!

I was thinking about investing in a foam cannon, the issue is I don't have a pressure that can hook up with the others.

Is there a good one that can attach to just a hose and get me some good foam?

Someone recommended that I get this from Autogeek?

http://www.autogeek.net/autogeek-foam-cannon-hp.html

But, I don't think it attaches to a regular hose? And my pressure washer doesn't have fittings like that, because it's small and cheap.

I found this one? I was considering using this:

http://www.autogeek.net/auqufofogun.html

with this soap:

http://www.chemicalguys.com/MR_PINK_...cws_402_16.htm

Seems like this and the two bucket method would help keep my acura's soft paint a lot less swirled!

I got this one you posted
http://www.autogeek.net/auqufofogun.html

These seem to work better, they use more water so the dirt actually lifts/falls off the car. The Foam Cannon ones just seem to spray foam everywhere and the dirt just sticks to the car still more which is kind of pointless.

Here's what he said about a foam gun/cannon a while back. I was looking for one too.

Hey Jeff,

Any duragloss products you specifically like? I have used the 501, 601, 111, AW, etc. Loved every one of them. What are your thoughts? Any great DG products that I'm missing out on? Ever try any Auto Finesse products?

I just picked up a few more DG products. I LOVE the car wash concentrate by them. 105 is another great sealant that people have claimed lasting 6+ months on daily driven cars. I just tried out the nuglass 755 and it took out all the water spots on the glass of my friends car with ease. I wanna try their metal polish or aluminum polish next. Aquawax is probably my favorite product by them so far though.

Thoughts on a long lasting sealant for paint protection. I realize that UV will be a huge breakdown/downfall of most.

Opti-Coat seems to be something that is becoming very popular? Perma sealing though?

What's a good long lasting sealant? I would like to throw something on and feel comfy knowing the car is protected very well through the winter/summer months.

CG's Jetseal seems OKAY, but I doubt it really lasts very long for the price. Maybe 5 months or so?

If I were you I'd try the duragloss sealants. 105 total performance polish is great. If you used the polish bonding agent 601 before applying that you will be set for the winter. But I'd still top it with a wax like collinite 845 then use aquawax every other wash. Your car will bead water like crazy.
