My wife was talking about selling her car and me driving the Camaro for the summer while she drives my Envoy. I was like hell no, not while living in hail central Kansas! What about this? http://hailblankets.com/index.php

Say no more, I hate HOAs. Ours makes us use big *** garbage and recycling cans that take up a bunch of useable space in the garage. Can't even put them on the side of the house away from the road.. the hail blankets are pricey but if your car is going to sit out for a long time it might be worth it. I'd suggest making something but I'm sure the neighbors wouldn't appreciate that
