Default Thinking about removing my body side molding

I have been thinking about removing my body side molding off my Camaro but I have been told there could be fading on my paint just wounding has anyone done it and there was fading on there paint under there body side molding show pics on Camaro if there fading on a red camaro

Depends if your car was repainted with the side moldings still on. If it's original paint, then your fine.

how do you take it off? and will there be any holes? im new!!!

I still have the factory paint on a red car and fading wasn't an issue! As long as you have factory paint you'll be ok.


Drokkers: there's no holes, and this thread has plenty of ways to remove it.

I think I have my factory paint from doors back because I had a tire blow out on me in the front right tire and I had to get it repainted I might even had my right door blend not sure

its really easy to remove but, its there for protection against door dings, why would you want to remove that :/

It's a risk some are willing to take. lol I really like the way it looks without it, plus the molding on my car was badly faded and looked pretty bad on there.

Because our cars are so low to begin with those side moldings do nothing to help protect against dings! Looks 20x cleaner with them removed
