Default Do I change it up or leave it alone?

Ok my SS is not like all the other ones, from the factory all SS that i know of had black roofs. The guy that had the SS before me had the roof and the side mirrors painted the color of the car "Pewter" which over time has grown on me and i actually like it. But I'm wanting to paint my berger panel Gloss black and I'm also wanting to have the hood scoop painted Gloss Black, and ill be adding black Depo headlights along with black turn signals and tinting the window 20% all the way around.

My biggest concern is doing all of this and in the end it not all coming together because of the roof. What do yall think? Will it look fine or like ****? Should I just leave everything the way it is?

Here is a pic of the car

Here is a pic of the Berger Panel as of now

Makes me kind of want to paint my bubbly sail panel but in all honesty I'd leave the panel alone. I think the Berger look is getting over done. It just doesn't appeal anymore.

Edit: do the headlights and turn signals though along with the hood scoop. But leave the rear alone.

I'd leave it. Everyone does the berger and paints the scoop. I think as is looks more original than either of what you're considering. Plus I think the painted roof looks really good!

I think the body color roof would look alot better if the little triangle pieces by the windows were black. Personal taste I know, but I always hate the look of those when their body color too. Beyond that, the first thing I'd do is lose the 16" Z28 wheels for at the very least some 17" SS wheels.

Id check rpo codes on that car...
They could have been downgraded, but those are not ss wheels. They're base wheels. The roofs AFAIK were black on all late fourth gens equipped with v8's. Some earlier fourth gens had body colored roofs with v8's...
I would be questioning the authenticity of the car.

The RPO codes and vin states its a true SS, the guy i bought the car from had the roof, mirrors and triangle pieaces painted the body of the car. The wheels were on it when i bought it from the last owner they are not the orginal wheels.

I didnt think about that, although the rear side markers are already tinted i would just need to tint the tail lights and 3rd brake light

i do not want to have to roll my windows down to back up, i had 2% in my truck and hated it. I figure 20% all the way around would be just right.

Wheels first but the car would look a lot better with black sail panel. Leave the mirrors alone though, they stick out like a sore thumb black.

As stated above Im getting new wheels later on in the year. I have a budget im working with and the S60 is taking most of it. So i figured i would do some small en-expensive things like headlights, window tinting etc.

I'm not a big fan of the berger panel, but I think the hood scoop painted black would look good.
