Default Bought a GLASSTEk HOOD PIN ON AND IT fits like CRAP

Bought a 4 inch sunoco pin on hood the fitment is HORRIABLE WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY. I will post pics up later.
The hood hangs over the front at least 2 inches and is at least a inch and half over both fenders. They assured me when I called that the hood will fit and fits better then a VFN hood thats why we went with them.
My brother called them today and basically they said take a leap. This quailty control needs improvement. I do not caer to do some triming. But when you have to recut 4 sides of a hood come on. FTL

i have one from them for my 93 z28. fits perfect.. just wish it was a bolt-on.

bought mine thru ebay years ago.. they said they order them straight from glasstek. i'd file a ebay dispute, paypal dispute before its too late.

2" over the nose and 1 1/2" over both fenders? Geez... You sure they sent you a hood for a Trans Am? I know aftermarket hoods are hit and miss but that is just stupid! I had a 4" bolt on cowl hood from them on my Z28 and I had to do a little trimming around the headlights but otherwise it was a good fit. I'm sorry about yours bro.

Did you trim the lip off the edge all the way around the hood? That lip is only there for shipping purposes to add strength so it doesnt get badly damaged by a jerk delivery guy. I had a 4" cowl from Glasstek I bought used and it fit perfect on my old 98 car...fit better than my stock hood did to be honest.

had to recut the notches 5 times to get them close, It does not state anywhere on there web page about having to cut the hood on all 4 sides, Just bs build a better quailty product.
plus they flat out lied to be telling me a its a direct fit and fits better then a VFN that all yo u had to do is put it on. JUST BUYERS BEWARE, leason learned here.

Honestly I dont understand how any of the aftermarket hoods aren't made to be a direct bolt on item. Something as basic as a pretty much square hood shouldn't be that difficult to produce properly. Especially not for what they cost just gel-coated.

Why dont you return it? Call the BBB in your area, post the pics and file a complaint. Ive done this atleast 4-5 times on various products. Never failed. F- glasstek

I called them and they wouldnt do SH$T about it. Basically the guy said we only have 5 people working here and blah blah and I was like fine I will just cut it to make it work.

He sit there a lied to me when we bought the hood ohh it fits directly with no cutting just lays right in place. He even said that they took a vfn hood and put it next to thiers and used that pattern to make sure they are correct.

Buisness is hard with this economy so people need to rethink how they make products and how they treat their customers.
IT TOOK ME AROUND 3 HOURS TO GET THIS HOOD TO FIT WITH CUTTING TRIMING AND SANDING AND I STILL HAVE TO DO MORE WHEN TONIGHT.
