Car fully detailed
Hey guys hows it going. First time fully detailing my car. I plan on entering my car in car shows. I wanted your input on how i did. Critisism is welcome. This is my first time and want to see were i can improve. Its getting dark but you can get the point of how i did. it took my roughly 1 and a half hours. Also do you think i would stand a chance with placing in a car show? Thank you guys much appriecated.

It's clean enough for a car show (looks awesome aside from the hazy headlights), but i think the only way to place is if the judge appreciates the fact that it is still stock and in that good of shape. I think you'd need an older camaro for that though. lol beautiful car man!

1 1/2 for a "full detail"...? I don't find that feasible.
What all did you do? Wash, wax, dress tires, and interior?
From the pictures and the lighting the paint looks good, but what about in direct sunlight? Does the paint have swirls? In the shade black cars look great, but once you put it under a light, it's atrocious unless you have corrected the paint and have a proper wash technique.
Car looks good though. Not sure whether you will get a trophy or not, but if you enjoying taking it to shows, isn't that what matters?

Outside and interior look great. I would clean up the engine bay more. Do the wire mod, get a lid setup, and paint the bumper support black. Also buff out or whistler mod the head lights.

Whistle head lights coming soon. I would never enter a show with hazy lights. and what do you guys mean by bumper support? and as for what i did i cleaned the exterior, cleaned the engine bay, cleaned rims/tires, cleaned/vacumed interior, armoralled all the interior pieces and cleaned the windows inside and out. Waxed the paint amoralled all plastic pieces in the engine bay. Shined the tires and cleaned door jams.

Good idea on going with whistlers. The bumper support thats on the front of the bumper that you see when you open the hood. Its attached by the 5 push tabs and then 2 nuts on each side at the ends by the radiator support. Car looks good, nice clean SS.

Two things stand out.
1) Big ugly green battery.
2) Headlights need attention.
If you go to a show, don't expect to 'place'. Just go for the fun of it. If you bring something home, that's cool. But if you don't, maybe you won't be so disappointed.
Clean, clean, clean, ..., spotless, spotless, spotless, will help sway opinions & points.

lol. truth. If when you go to shows you're planning to leave the hood up, well, the f'body engine bay needs a lot of help to get any good attention. Even spotless, they aren't exactly visually stimulating. One of the easiest things you can do in there is to repaint the supports at the front of the bay (air box forward) with a fresh coat of black, rattle can will be fine. All of those parts come out easily. simply scuff, clean, spray and re-install and be amazed at the difference. But yeah... that battery, you'll def want a cover for that. the green is doing nothing for you. It is the visual focal point of your engine bay, but in a distracting way.

I think the car looks good for what it is, a stock SS and that's it. If you had loads of money invested in the car and was wanting to enter it in a car show with an actual full detail, I'd say good luck but since the car is completely stock, idk.

Are type of finish are your wheels?
And what products do you use to clean your wheels?
I ask cause I have the same wheels and they've gotten VERY dirty, and I'm trying to do the best I can to restore them to what they used to be.... have your wheels ever gotten too dirty? Looks nice now
