Check out my $50 hood :)
Just thought I'd share my experience that happend yesterday. A local junkyard in town had just got a V6 Camaro in and I planned on grabing a tail light from it. A set clean tail light prices are out of control! So I got of off work and went straight to the junkyard. And to my surprise, the drivers tail light was super clean. So for $11 bucks I removed it While I was removing the tail light I was looking at the front of the car and I said to myself "that looks like an SS hood". I finished pulling the light and walked up to the front of the car. And there it was. A black SS hood on a Blue V6 Camaro.
I ran into the office and asked how much they charged for hoods. The guy stated they sold hoods for $51 dollars...I started running back to the car. Borrowed a rachet from a mexican dude and pulled it as fast as I could! Heres a few pictures of it:
Its not an original, and the paint isn't the greatest, but for the price I can't complain. I spent $62 bucks total. Made my day!

I went back today and pulled a k&n metal radiator shroud off of it, I'm gonna use it when I get my turbo setup on next month. The hood looks better in pictures and it fits ok. I just decided I'm going to keep it. I had cut the stock hood up fitting my old Vortech Supercharger kit on the car so this was a cheap fix. The hood isn't perfect, but for $50 bones I'm happy. Now the whole car needs a paint correction to get rid of some swirls.
