2011 Caprice PPV...what to do
My dad just picked this bad boy up from the local Chevy dealership with 150 miles on the clock. It's got the 9C1 Police Package, so the console is kind of funky to make room for the computer and other police equipment. I think the G8 console is the same thing, so one of those might be going in soon. I just ordered mud flaps for it from eBay (same fit as the Holden Statesman/Caprice) , I think those will go good with the other black exterior pieces.
I want to get new fender vents for it, add some 5000k HIDs (not sure if the stock projectors will work with those), maybe the deck lid spoiler that comes on the Holden. Any other ideas? I know it's not the most visually appealing car to begin with, but I'm sure theres some things to spruce it up a bit.

Heh, and they said it was cops only, never a civilian car. lol.
I really thought I'd be seeing more of those put into service. Granted I haven't talked to many, but the cops that I have talked to have liked it.
There is one running around but it was a demo I think. Haven't seen it for a little while now.

lose the FUGLY wheels. some 2012-2013 Camaro wheels or some g8-GT's would look nice on there and not kill the bank account.
window tint
paint the mirrors and door handles to match the body color
should make HUGE improvements with those things

My thoughts:
* Flat black vinyl wrap.
* Paint wheel centers black. (Or get the older-style cop centers)
* Change grill surround to brushed/matte silver.
* Remove Chevy Bowtie in front.
* Maybe change grill to black hex mesh.

If you ever install new wheels on this Caprice, let me know! I need those steelies real bad.
No tires, only the wheels to be precise, since I have plans to widen them.
Back on topic, I think the most visually appealing upgrade would be a small (and subtle) suspension drop and a set of new wheels. So, no monster truck stance as the car already has alot of wheel gap. The Caprice is perfect as is, I love it, but some people don't find it as attractive dressed-up as a cop car.
HIDs are a nice alternative to the stock lighting of the car, but as you mentionned, make sure they're compatible with the actual projectors. There are no aftermarket HID projectors for this car yet and ordering custom projectors is quite expensive...
I like my windows clear, but you might want some tints?
Full cop car maybe?
There are plenty of options out there, it only depends on what you plan on doing with the car (cruiser, daily, showcar, etc) and I believe it's you fathers car right? Who's going to drive it the most? Where will it be driven (streets made of pot-holes or silky smooth roads).
Take as much ideas as we can give and blend them together or make something of your own.
