Valuable now or not... down the road no one knows what is possible. If I had a 1 of 2 of anything, hell even a Ford escort, I wouldn't be "chopping nuttin". But you heard it best from Wrench7777 "B****es love t tops". Now thats a game changer!

Rare doesn't mean valuable.

Best point of the thread.

My first was a hard top and the last 3 have been t top. I won't go back to hard top unless its going to be a full race build. But just because the majority of responses seem to think you should t top it doesn't mean down the road someone won't have a hard on for a 1 of 1 optioned car. You just never know and you can't worry about or bank on that happening.

yeah i know how selection options works for rarity.. thts why i looked up an rpo search with just key points...

there were about 36 true SS cars ever with a white interior from the factory in 98. of those 36 only 2 were silver one T top auto the other a hardtop M6 (mine)

in all 5 years of production i think there were only around 15 silver SS cars with a factory arctic white interior. thats the only reason i didnt ditch my interior and why my racing seats are white leather so that i keep at least a little bit of its originality.. i have the original white fronts in storage in case ill ever need them.

both mine are T's, and i love em. make sure its done correctly and looks factory, and u will be happy with it. u will want subframe conn's tho, keep em from squeaking/rattlling, even the best stock ones get that way after a while.

Says the guy that modifies his car.

Camaros look good with a black hardtop. My 96Z was that way. "Rarity" aside, and of course it's your car do what you want, I vote leave it a hardtop.

Leave it. T-Tops are highly overrated. I wouldn't cut a car that uncommon. If you really want T-tops, I agree with the others that say sell it and buy a car with t-tops. My car's only 1 of 26, I wouldn't even think about it.

t-tops are a pain to take in and out - get a vert. 8 seconds, all from the driver seat, and you're on your way.

i had a vert.. too much sketch for me. and on the highway the top got all disfigured and looked like a dome. and then id have to do a crazy roll cage haha. other than that i love verts especially for night cruising.

this was my vert 97 anniversary edition z28 40k original miles. just couldnt stand an LT1

Theres a ton of t-top cars around, if you wanted one I'm sure you could sell yours to buy one or find someone to trade. I wish I had a hardtop car.

Sometimes I wish I had a hard top car.

I have t-tops in my 99 Formula WS6, I use them and love them, aside having to re-glue and soon replace my headliner. I also have made the bad decision of cutting into my baby before, ('05 vette rims) and regretted it. The hard top cars are a little stronger structurally so that's at least two reasons to leave the car as is.

I take my t-tops out, maybe two or three times a year. I'm not too crazy about them. I like AC a lot more.
