Cleaned Up My C5 and Took An Accidental Picture
Cleaned up my car and accidentally found this wall and HAD to take a picture with it. This is right after lowering my car on stock bolts and installing a rear z06 spring too so it hadn't settled all the way yet, so it's a little lower now, also took the side moldings off too. While washing my car I also noticed the chrome starting to flake off my wheels, no biggie as they were heavy and crappy wheels anyways, so I've decided to buy some TSW Nurburgrings. Anybody need a rear z51 leaf spring??

I plan on it since I pass this wall everyday, I can't wait either! I'll probably order them the end of this month/beginning of next month. Here's a pic of a C5 like mine with these wheels on to give you an idea.

I can't wait, my Vette's always had the older look to it to me because the factory-style 5-spokers, I've been ready to give my car a meaner look.
I'll be running 305's in the rear with these on a 10.5 rear. If I could actually have my way I'd be putting CCW 505a's on it, but they're a pretty penny. Maybe I'll find a killer deal on a set before I purchase these lol

I'm running Toyo R888's 305/30/19s on my CCW T-10s and love it. Now that I have about 500-600 miles on them, they hold pretty well, especially when they are heated a little.

I wish I could run a tire that aggressive, I daily drive my car though and couldn't deal with the tread life with my long(isn) commutes (usually 20-50 miles a day, just depends). BUT, next year my car will have an A&A kit installed and will be my fun weekend car at that point so I'll be going with those exact tires. I've been hearing awesome things about the R888's lately. Until then I'll be rocking Hancook V12's only because they come with the TSW's along with TPMS sensors with the vendor I'll be going with. Good looking set-up you have there.

Here are the weights weigh-
18x9.0 = 20.5 lbs
19x10.5 = 23.25 lbs
They'll obviously weigh a bit more than a 17/17, 17/18, or an 18/18 combo, but that just looks small on a Vette, so I'm going 18/19. They still weigh A LOT less than those crappy repros that are on my car right now though lol

Alright, change of plans. I'm getting a really good deal on a set of almost brand new, Z16 Z06 wheels. These were only available in 2004 and only came on a Z16 optioned Z06, pretty rare wheels, and they're lighter than the TSW, which light is what I'm looking for after owning these heavy suckers. These are polished then clear coated (not chrome, instead of the argent paint on regular z06's) Here's a picture of the Z16 Z06 wheels, not the ones I'm picking up but these are just like em.

Alright guys, ANOTHER change in plans, and this one is final. A buddy of mine with a black 2001 Z06 decided he wanted those Z16 wheels worse than me, and he ended up buying them. He felt bad so he gave me his 100% flawless Argent Z06 wheels to me for $500. He's shipping them to me on Monday. The car will look just about like this one minus this guys hood. I'll post a pic of them actually on my car here in about a week and a half or so.

Got them installed! It looks soooo sick. The tires are flush with the fender now instead of sitting inside the wheel well and acceleration and handling have improved greatly! This is the only pic of them uploaded to Photobucket right now so I'll post another at the same wall the next time I'm by it! The black Vette is a buddies cammed z06.
