I've been looking for a winter project to do, and I'm thinking about either plasti-dipping or painting my interior. It's all scratched up and old looking. I'm thinking ill just redo it in black.
What do you all think? Or have any suggestions?

I did the same on my plastic panels, its held up pretty good so far no peeling. I still need to get to the dash, & i'll be having my seats done at reupholstery shop.

Don't use plastidip, its a pain to keep clean and holds dust, use duplicolor vinyl paint/dye sold at the auto stores or SEM interior paint. Ive used the duplicolor stuff with relatively good results, but SEM would be a higher quality.

The vents, window switch plates and door handle trim had all been painted silver by the previous owner and was looking pretty bad so I plasti-dip'd them. It looks better and seems to be holding but I will eventually paint them.

I was pretty skeptical about the Duplicolor vinyl & fabric spray, but I absolutely hated my 98' mutli gray interior.. Bought about 6 cans of the flat black & went to town on the whole interior & turned out great. Still have to do the dash.. Here's a pic of the door panels.. I'll get some more pics once it's all done.. The trick to doing the vinyl is to start with very light even coats & in a non windy 70+ degree enviroment.

Thanks man.. On the door panels it took almost a full can on each panel. The a-pillars, kick panels, b-pillars, console, t-top trim, rear qrts & deck lid trim were all done with about 3 cans.. Got one can left to knock out the dash with.. Not doing the brittle upper cover, it shattered on me when taking it out, was expecting it though.. I was able to score a non-cracked one at a salvage & wraped it last night with black vinyl.

I will try & get some more tonight.. It's kinda hard with the lighting in my garage & the whole interior & carpet being black to get a good clear pic. I didn't spray the carpet, it's Speed Inc light weight that I ordered in black.. I've only heard great things about SEM, but my local place only carried the Duplicolor, it turned out better than I expected.
