Has potential. I'd like to see it from a few angles on an actual car.

Could order the insert and cut a cowl hood.

I like that a lot! But give us an option for that entire vent section to be carbon fiber. Would look really nice with my sail panel. Add a 6LE front splitter and CME.

Does the hood exist? That's a photoshop in the first pic.

I have looked at those before. I would prefer the vents to be further back closer tot he windshield.

lol just looked it up. swap out the "98 02" with "82-92" or "93-97"... they photoshopped the same cowl onto the 3rd gen cars and the early 4th gens. None of those pics are real, so it's hard to know how it will look on an actual hood.

the angles are too sharp in the vent areas for the overall "roundedness" shape of the car. not my cup of tea.

You can purchase just the insert, not the hole hood. I would purchase one but I can' find any info on if the curve would match my Wide Sunoco hood.

$550 + shipping for just a center vent, that you'll then need to customize yourself to get it to work with the hood... Who's actually gonna do that? That insert wouldn't flow with any of the existing cowl hoods for 4th gens, the hardwood would probably be your best bet. The cowl in the photoshop actually would seem to flow pretty well with both the car and the insert, buts it's not real..

Someone take one for the team and buy the hood! Lol. I actually want to see how it looks.

What about even throwing the idea past VFN? They make amazing quality hoods.. The curve of the insert still has to match the curve of the 98-02 Camaro body style..

I was thinking about a VFN 3" SS hood but then I saw this and backed off the VFN...I really like the styling... I might be able to get it in a couple months. and let everyone know what how it fits and looks. Something new and different. Would look great in cyber gray metallic with the black center... *drool*
