The parts book I have shows 93-02 TA spoilers being the same part #

I think in the rear the only difference between 93-02 is the taillights.

Ok sounds good enough to me. I got this guy wanting to sell me the entire hatch for $100 with the window. I figured I can't go wrong. For some reason I was thinking that the 93-97 spoilers were shaped differently than the 98-02.

They changed the latch mechanism around 99. You may have to transfer over the latch loop from your old hatch.

I was thinking 95 was the first year of the high rise spoiler ..I think at least 93 had the lorise formula spoiler. Maybe the hi rise was an option before it became standard?

^This, ..., is somewhat true, I believe.
Some of the 93-94 Trans Am cars did get the low-level spoiler. The hi-rise spoiler may have been an option or came with the Trans Am GT option.

I'd simply suggest that the person send you a photo of the hatch to be sure before you commit.

04 huh?

All the hatches are interchangeable. The latches might be slightly different, but all you'd need to do is transfer the original one to the new one.

I "think" the formula style spoiler was standard on 93-95 trans ams as well as being hard top. The high rise spoiler was optional.

Double check with the seller first that it isn't just a firebird hatch.

Since I know very little about the lt1 platform, was there ever a hard top WS6 produced with an lt1?

The LT1 cars could come with either, depending on options ordered. In 1993, all Trans Am's had the uplevel spoiler. In 1994, base Trans Am's had the low level spoiler and the Trans Am GT had the uplevel one (RPO T43). In 1995 through 1997 the low level spoiler was an option that got rarer and rarer until done away with entirely in 1998 when all Trans Am's once again came with the uplevel spoiler.

Wow, fat-finger syndrome, ..., typo, ..., I meant '93-'94's.

I knew they made them, but I'm not sure that I've ever seen a T/A with the low rise spoiler. Really surprised by the 94 stats.

They look awesome. I have my firehawk switched over to trans am body work and still have the low rise spoiler. Here some random internet pics

Default Spoiler discrepancy it sounds like.

The firebirds had the lower, attached spoiler...the TA's had the raised spoiler.

Negative, as per my previous post:
