So the Graphite color is a good match for the 98-99 Camaro? Is it a little lighter or darker that the Dash itself?
Great write up. I'm going to order one as soon as I figure which color.

I have a 98 and the graphite was a little darker than my dash. But I would more chalk that up to the car sitting in a field for several years and fading the original dash color. In the day time while driving I don’t see much of a difference. Looking from the outside in sure maybe a little. At night time same no difference driving but from the outside I can see quite a bit of difference.

Considering they only only offer two options graphite/black I’d say get the graphite. My dash looks a million times better.

Mine turned gray from the sun over the years and now it is almost black again. I'll look for a picture.

Wow! Dash skin responded to my email at 8am indicating that they would ship a replacement ASAP. I had tracking by 11:45am. That is what you call customer service!

Yes, damaged in transit. I took photos of the box before opening. The box was banged up but it looked fine from a glance. I didn't actually unwrap the product from it's plastic until last night when I found the damage.

Looks like I'll be jumping on this boat too. I've had a cracked dash since buying mine a few years ago. Carpet dash cover pisses me off because they are my biggest pet peeve and I have one.

How are you guys locating where to epoxy the clips?

I am wondering this too. I have had mine for months now and haven't actually installed it yet.

I put the clips (trees I call em) into the mounting holes just a tad.... Put a dab of silver paint from a marker on the top of each... Line up the pad and set it down.... Lift it out and you should have some nice little dots for a template.

Side Note

Make sure you add the front clips ( the two velcros in front of the vent ) to your job as well.... I put one after the fact and it helped, but the not having one in the other spot has my pad popping up due to heat I guess. Will be fitting another tab onto that one to lock it down in that spot

Well, that turned out much better than expected. I used the plastic weld to adhere the push tabs and the final fit & finish is awesome. Plastic weld is very strong too. I added two push tabs in front of the vent and it worked beautifully. Lastly, I was able to reuse the twist lock chassis to mount the photocell and security light.

Thanks for the great suggestions guys!

Update: My push tabs must have not been aligned well. The dash pad has become wavy in a few spots. Mostly at the defrost vent location and at the passenger side airbag area. I'll upload pics. I think I am going to either order a new one and use the factory velcro or see if i can find a genuine replacement. Ugh.
