Default Just used "CRC Silicon Spray" on my rubber moldings - what a difference

If you guys have not used this stuff before, get it. My uncle gave it to me, but you can get it at any auto parts store, its in a red spray can. It litterally turned my dry, cracking rubber molding around the door and trunk just like new. Feels soft and smooth again!!! Stuff is amazing - wish Zaino had this

Application tips:
Dont let it dry on the moldings, it will leave *water* marks. If it does dry, just buff it out.
I took the can, sprayed a section of the molding at a time (ie, bottom, then side, then top, then opposite side) and quickly took a clean rag and wiped it off.

that sounds like it can get messy in the spray form. I've just followed the recommendation in the owner's manual that says to apply dielectric grease every couple of months. Takes less that 10 minutes.

no, you take the rag and hold it infront of the spray as you are spraying

Do you put it on Rag and then buff it in? That sounds easy and cheap.

that's exactly what I do. I'll apply some on a corner of the rag and just spread it out. A little goes a long way, but the rag gets real dirty quick. Give it a try, a small tube of dielectric grease shoud suffice for the entire car's weather seals.

What he said... That crap is bad for your moldings
Use dielectric grease. It absorbs into the moldings and makes them swell
