Post Firebird to Trans am MOD

I own a 2001 Formula. The body was lacking a little something something for me. NO body kit. No raised spoiler. No exotic hood. So when I came across a 98 Trans am with a perfect Body (lacking the engine and trannsmission) I decided to do some swapping. I had already bought a ws9 hood from usexotics so the suncoast creations hood that was on the 98 I bought has to be sold. But I had my body kit and new spoiler ready to go. Here are some before and after pics. What im trying to figure out is, what color to paint her. Im thinking Sunset orange. She has a Black interior so anything would look good on the outside. Im looking for something original. Nothing too flashy but sexxy.

I hope you didn't spend to much on the Trans Am in order to do the swap. Looks like it could have cost you some money just for a body kit swap. Looks good though.

No actually I bought the entire Trans am (minus the engine and tranny) for 900. I have had all the parts up since monday on auction, and have made 1,500 USD to date. So not only did i get my parts for free with a little work I also might make enuff to paint the car.

Here are a couple more shots I just took after i shot her with water. She needs to be painted quicky. I hate seeing her like this.

No I cant sell the whole car sorry. Already have it stripped and cut up.
The hood comes with the airbox. I am running an auction on the hood and it is up 4ooUSD. I live in Colorado. I have many more parts available. Email me at junkyard81008@yahoo.com if interested.

Cool story, but I couldn't see the car at all. Most of your pics were not even worth opening, they were way too dark. Pull the car out of the shadows, and take some close-ups. From what I could tell (not much) the car looks good. I would paint the car back to the original color, or you should have painted it before you put the guts in it. If you change the color, you have to worry about all the little places like door panels, fender wells, engine compartment. Something new in the paint industry is gelcoating. It looks really good, but I think it's kinda expensive. Whatever you do, make sure you get plenty of clearcoats, especially if you go with a darker color. Good luck, let us know how it comes along.

Lol the last 4 pics were taken during the day and in the blazing sun, how can you not see them? yes i didnt put up 1300mb files but you can see the parts just fine.

If I do get it painted a different then stock color. believe me I will make sure all the door jams and nooks and crannys are painted also.

It's the shadows that are killing the pics, the sun has made it hard to clearly see the car's paint. But anywho, the paint seemed to be OKAY from what I could see, jes paint the hood, wax the rest of it and use the money for mods. Do what you want, it is YOUR car, what ever make you happy. I know sometimes it is hard to have one part freshly painted and the rest original, but a good polish and wax would prob make the car look brand new.

Paint it Sunset Orange Metallic, no doubt. I LOVE that color. I wanted a SOM WS6 or hawk when I got mine. I looked for months, then ran in the deal for my car that no way could I pass up. I loved SOM so much that before I got my hawk, I painted my bike that color. I was hoping to have matching color car and bike, but didn't work out that way.
