Wheel well signed
Got a question.. and since it's in the engine compartment I'll post it here. I have a signature on the right wheel well in the engine compartment. I can make out the first name but not the last name. It's Scott something and was signed on 02-09-02. Does anyone know what this signafies? Is this like having a baseball card signed by Mickey Mantel?
Just wondering if anyone has any insight into what the signature is...
Thanks..

He more than likely signed it for the previous owner at a car show or Super Chevy event.

Yea mine is signed too. Scott Settlemeyer signed one side and Barry Oakley signed the other this year at the Camaro/Firebird invasion at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green Ky. They are both super guys and were signing anyone's car that asked them too. I've got pictures of both of them with my car.

Scott Settlemire (notice correct spelling) signed my T/A also on PS shock tower @ the Tom Henry Show this past summer in PA.
I had him use a silver paint pen so it would be permanent. My wife & I got some pics with Scott and the car plus he took us for a ride in his special edition Camaro.
This show was touted as a F-Body show and our Trans Am club was invited - once we got there it was all Camaro's except for me & my buddy - I still took 2nd place. This show was judged by a local Pittsburgh club using a points rating system in many catagories - the guy that won 1st actually spent most of the day cleaning his car.
Scott is a real nice guy - answered alot of questions - so much of the rumored stories out there are far from true as far as to what went on in GM during F-Body production, the new GTO & the C6.
When asked if/when there would be a new design T/A Camaro back at GM - we were told that he couldn't devulge any details - but 'to be patient, it will be sooner than you think'
Seeing that the new Mustang Cobra is coming out in 2006 - it might just be a toss-up between it, and the new T/A!
