Default Look, no interior.............(56K go away)

Started the sound deadening project today. I have heard about how people find all this change, when they do this and I thought yea not me. I found $1.53 worth of change............under the carpet! How in the hell did it get under the carpet? Anyway here are some pics of the progress.

Lots-o-plastic. It really isn't that difficult to get it out. And it didn't take that long either. But I am sure that it will be harder getting it all back in.

put some lawn chairs in and call it a day, I would never do that. I can stand putting stuff back together cause it never wants to go back right

I swapped the interior color on my '98 from tan to black...you'd be suprsed how easy that carpet was to isntall. Literally had it rolled up, set it inside the car and it almost unrolled itself into place!

Jeez get over yourself. You're just jealous

It took about 2-3 hours to take it all out working by myself and taking my time.

It should go back togethor pretty easy. When I stripped most of mine out I think I spent less than a day taking my time to put everything back. Did you get those hangar clips out of the sail panels without wrecking them? They where a bitch for me, I mangled them up pretty bad.

Don't forget the doors, they are a source of a lot of noise. I recently spent time driving my wife's Solara, long enough to get used to it. When I got back to driving the Chevy I kept thinking I had left the door open. It was kinda weird, I never really noticed it before.

I haven't put in the sound deadening yet. These are just pics of my progress. All I have covered with the B-Quiet so far is the rear / trunk / t-tops area.

1999 SS #4526 - I plan to do the doors. My main concern right now is the cab. Depending on how much I use on the cab will determine how much I will have left and need to order (if any) to do the doors. And I can always do those at anytime, no need to rip out the entire interior for that.

Just spray some undercoating in there, put the seats back in and call it a day.

It's actually quite easy to remove and put back in the interior. Done it on a couple cars to reduce some weight. Not bad at all.

Don't know about everything else, but the carpet alone is very heavy.
