Default New Sunoco Hood

Hi Guys.
We are getting to the final stages of our sunoco hood design. Just wanted to see what everyone thinks about the direction it is going. Please keep in mind that at this point the scoop is just resting on top of the hood. Once we get some feedback on it - we'll get it finished up.
Let us know what you think
Thanks.
Jeanie

Looking good...the cowl seems to be just about the right height...can't wait to see it on a car...

TOO HIGH! I would buy it if it wasn't so darn high.

wasn't it supposed to be a gradual rise to the peak of the cowl? (ie. small angle rise taking up more horizontal room 35, 30 degrees) This hood looks like a regular cowl with each side at a 65 degree angle or so? It looks good, but I thought that the sunoco hood was gonna look different. nice job though.

The scoop at this point is a little higher then the completed hood will be, this scoop is resting on the hood but once its scribed into place it will lose close to an inch in height also its sitting close to the edge but it will actually start a few inches back, and also this is the first design without the line, we will be making another version that will have the line after this one is completed

I agree about having to see it on a car. I wish I could be a guinea pig.

I'm in Illinois and I *ahem* could be a guinea pig. Looks nice, what is a timeframe on its finishing and possible availibility? Any chance of a LW pin on hood?

Sorry Jack - It may have been a possibility, but I believe it would be quite a distance to travel to be a guinea pig (we're up by chicago).
Spanky - this is a good possibility to be a guinea pig - could you pm me and we can go from there?
We are hoping to have the molds finished up in the next few weeks - and from that point we could start accepting orders on them. I'll be starting a list for a gp in the next week or two - for anyone who wishes to sign up.
We will definately offer this hood in a lightweight pin on version also.
Thanks!
Jeanie

I think it looks great Jeanie. The scoop does look slightly larger than on the real car but I like it.

Like it so far. Would like to see it on a car aswell. So, is it a 3" rise? And do you know if there will be room for a Vortech aftercooler under that cowl?

If you need a guinea pig for a new TA hood, let me know. My car sits in the garage 90% of the time, so I'm sure I could manage to be without it for awhile.

Looks good! Some small stripes on the side of it *might* look good as well for a paint job
