Cowl hood, custom air intake?

Something like this is what i was suggesting, and would probably seal better, as you could mount it into the lower air box assembly and than either use a cone or drop-in filter.

I dont even think a cowl hood would be practical for having the real cowl effect of ram air because our windows are so raked that no air is getting pushed back into the engine.

Wrong! Theres lots of air being forced in there! Ever drive in the rain? Watch the water droplets get sucked in there. When I drive in the rain or with the car wet, the water will roll up the hood and back down the backside of the cowl. I don't want to put all that tubing on there though, thats just too much for it to suck through. I'll mess with it and post a pic to show what I mean.
