Convert. top switch for a E-cutout?
i personally plan on mounting my e-cutout in my ashtray so its hidden away.
and probably just picking up a switch from auto zone. but not sure how to mount it so it looks nice in the tray, dont know what material to use to fill in the space and hold the switch in place.
im under the impression they make a bezel where the tcs button is that holds 2 switches, for verts or something. gmpartsdirect.com would have it, if it exists.
I don't have any pics of the homemade harness though, never got around to taking the switch plate back off and getting them. Here's what outcome looks like.

"Just in case someone else wants to install the switch and use it for an electric cutout here is some info I got for the pinout of the switch....
(This assumes you have the switch harness... I made my own with a nylon connector from radio shack and saved $45 or so)
Pretend that you already have a convertible top harness installed in the car, and the plug is just sitting there without the switch connected. Take the connector and orient it so that the locking tab is on top, and the plug is facing you. With this pictured in your mind, this is the connections of that plug:
TAB
H G F E
A B C D
H = Ground
G = Empty/Missing (not used)
F = Power (12v)
E = Up (+) Cutout (open)
A = Down (-) Cutout (close)
B = Lamp (+)
C = Lamp (-)
D = Ground
There are two grounds. In order for the switch to reverse the polarities for the up/down (+/-) to open and close the cutout, connector "H" and "D" have to be jumped together to the ground on the vehicle.
Holding the actual switch in your hand, it will be upside down so the locking tab part will be oriented on top. This should help you figure out what pin is what on the switch, use pin "G" as a guide.
This makes fairly good sense once you have the swtich in hand. After spending the 15 minutes making the wiring harness the install was quick and easy. I'll get some pics of it sometime soon."
Conv. Top Switch #10195580
TCS Switch #10273882
Bezel #10280510
Camaro 1993-2002 Conv. 1997-1999
Pontiac 1993-2002
For the trim bezel, only one part number was listed. It broke it down as I've typed it out, but there isn't a way to specify that info when ordering online.
I hope this helps

The diagram given showed the trim bezel with the TCS opening only, but as I pointed out both are listed (for the Camaro only). They only gave one part number (for all versions listed), so I'm not sure how you'd specify what version you need when ordering.
I haven't done a mod like this myself, or I would of had the part numbers off the stuff I bought. I just wanted to help out.

That's cool... I don't have the part numbers handy either since my car is halfway around the world right now.

I looked on Year One and Classic Industries, but didn't find it there either. I was hoping for a pic and an accompanying part number to clear this up

You will need to use the Vert Switch for the cutout because it's a two way togel with a neutral spot in the middle. The switch supports positive and negative voltages that are needed to open/close the cutout. (I.E. Push one way, it opens the cutout, push the other way it closes it.) You do have to hold the switch down to open/close it completely (about 3-4 seconds) just like the orginal switch that comes with the cutout.
The TCS switch is a single action switch so it won't work for the cutout. It works good for a line lock, because as long as you hold the switch, the circuit is completed and the line lock is engaged. As soon as you lift off, the circuit is broken and the line lock disengages.
Hope that makes a little sense.
Here are your part numbers you requested.
10411285 front floor console accessory trim plate, for convertible, and with traction control switch options. does not include switches.
The other part # listed above was just for the tcs panel. This one is for the vert. and tcs switches.
