Best way to remove decals??

Default Best way to remove decals??

I put the STS system on my car and thought it would be cool if I let the world know what was under my car and now I'm stuck with two riceresque STS decals. I decided it was best to not have them on there and tried to take it off. A couple inches in I noticed the horrible glue residue left behind. What's the best way to get these off without leaving my door scarred?

Goo Gone works very well.
I"ve used it several times on the wave runner.

3m General Purpose Adhesive Remover (part# 08984) works awesome, and it won't harm the clearcoat. I bought a can of it at my local Napa.

go to discount auto parts (or similar store) and get some "Mineral Spirits"

Thats what I use and it works great, got mine at Wal-Mart though.

nostyta, Your car looks sweet. Where did you take that picture? It looks like you're on a runway.

My buddy runs the local airport on the weekends so I get to sneek in and take pics and do a few passes.

just be very careful, when I tried removing my F-1 oem style stripes, it ripped the clear coat right off my car.
