Question Are these HID kits any good? I think i will score them

LINK1

LINK2
Are they a good quality kit?
Good value for 12k kit?
Is 12k-14k going to be really purplish???
Seem to be a good deal to me... anyone have these???

What is a good alternative if these are not any good?

The Lumens givin off is the actual brightness?? By researching, i have concluded the 6K have the highest lumen values, and as you go higher, they lose lumens. Basically the higher Temp (k value) is only for color change, not brightness? this is mis-leading to most people.... Am i correct?

So in actuality 8K bulbs would have a nice blue look and still be brighter than 10k+ bulbs?

12,000 Kelvin is about as purple as you're going to get. You also run the risk of being pulled over, but worse yet causing an accident. A light that bright is intended for off road use. If you want the look of the "real" BMW, Mercedes, Audi...HIDs, you will be looking at about 4-5,000 Kelvin. Anything hotter than that, and you will be getting bluer and bluer.

i have the 10k on my daily driver and theyre blue and ******* bright... bad *** lights, but the higher k you go the less light is projected... for my f-body ill prob go with 8-10k... but that is a good *** brand buy it... dont worry about gettin pulled over, they are hids and you can claim factory... i just had a lot of people flash their brights at me cuz they thought i had my brights on

so basically kelvin the temp is for the color, but the higher you go, the less distance the light is thrown, but they are alot brighter... i know its confusing but trust me... i would go with an 8-10k personally

You can't just shove an HID bulb into a halogen headlight. If you do, you'll have people like me that will be more than willing to take a bat to your headlight after I regain my vision back after being blinded by an ******* that drives with HID in a halogen housing.

Good Info guys.. I think i will go with the 10K kit. Whats a good price for this 10K kit? $330? Sounds expensive..

Meissenation: If there was a projector lens available, i would purchase. There is nothing for our cars, and until there is, I think i will be purchasing these and using them in my stock lenses. If they are really out of control and dangorous to others, i will probably do something about it. Until then, put your sunglasses on

You have to fab your own projectors buy putting a projector housing inside our headlight housing. A couple people are doing it/have done it. Search on the board.

Yeah, you can put a projector in the stock headlight... hell of a lot better than temporarilly blinding people as you drive by. Good thing you live in Minnesota and not by me.
