Make sure they match your side emblem overlays. (same color) Bad move with the chrome rear inserts though because now you won't match all the way around.

Try them they are alot better than fourth circle. I originally had fourth circle but the stripe was too thin and did not extend all the way down to the bottom of the hood. Autotrim design, link above fits perfect and they give you the horsepower number or customized lettering, looking like a real black bird. They are Much better quality.

I've never had the strips from fourth circle but from all of the stripes I've owned the thing I've learned is the way you line up the stripe on the hood has a lot to do with how it fits. Even just the slightest angle makes it seem too short

He's right, in fact I f*cked up the first set of stripes by not getting them aligned right, take your time and follow the directions for whatever kit you get

Any words of wisdom for installing them? Any trick tips? I just ordered a set and don't want to f*ck them up.

soapy water does wonders. spray the vinyl and the hood so you can have time to move the stripe around and get it right. Also trim the paper as close to the vinyl as possible that way you get rid of the bulk of the paper and you can see how everything lines up. TAKE YOUR TIME

Should I strip the wax off of the hood or the area to apply? I might be interested in getting them...not a lot of birds on my side of the neighborhood have them. Might be good to change.

Those autotrim ones look too big and bulky...

Much better "taste" the Afterthoughts ones have IMO.
