Default dash mounted gauge pod

Has anyone tried mounting gauges on their dash with a pod like this?

Here is pod that I put together still in the works. Uses stock mount screw locations for radio and glove box. No drilling or alterations needed. Looks a bit bigger in the pics., though.

I bought one very similar to the one pictured in the first post but it had spaces for (3) 2-1/16" gages and angled them toward the driver - needless to say, I still have it - knda looked like a bump on a frog setting up on the dash so I went with the gages in the vents.
