Here's a pic of my Grant Evolution GT. It's a simple swap, I used the Grant 3196 install kit.

Excuse the mess the car was under alittle reconstruction at the time.

Nice pic, I like the wheel.. Let's try to keep this thread on target. The guy wants to sees pics of aftermarket wheels, not hear lectures for the safety police about airbags like on the last thread. That thread became a total waste of time.

I believe that the wheel was $189 and the install kit was like $15. I got it from either Jeg's or Summit, I can't remember.

I like that Evolution GT. If I could keep my radio controls I'd switch to one of those.

To remove the airbag, disconnect the battery and let the car sit for 20-30 minutes, then remove the airbag by taking the 4 screws out on the back side of the wheel.
After removing the airbag you will get a light on the dash. I cut the wire to turn off the light.
Any aftermarket steering wheel will require an adapter.

There are alternatives..I remember seeing someplace that you could buy "WiFi" controls for your radios etc....

I remember a Blaupunkt sp? that had the little remote that fit on the steering wheel. I guess there are others out there as well. I just like how mine are setup on the stock wheel.

Most aftermarket head units work with a PAC SWI-X. It's a box that mounts in the dash and you program it to work with your head unit, using the stock steering wheel controls. It's got a little transmitter that you mount somewhere pointed at the head unit. I've got one and it works great.
