Default turtle wax "ice" wax

i waxed my car saturday after like 6 months of puting it off, i bought this wax becuse i heard about it and i was curious. man this stuff is freaking great! its a oily liquid so it can get a bit messy working with it but its super easy to apply and fairly easy to buff out. well it can get pretty hard buffing that stuff out because its so oily but the end result was badass. i used meguirs X and gold class last time i waxed my car and i didnt like how it looked, i still had a lot of swirl marks and my paint didnt look that great, but with this ice wax all those swirl marks are pretty much gone and my paint looks better than when i first got my car so just a heads up if yall wanna try a new wax....

Sorry to tell you, but the swirls are still there, just covered up by the wax (BTW pledge funiture polish gives an excellent shine due to all the oil in it)
The only way to get rid of swirls is to use an abrasive compound to buff them out, the rest of the so called swirl removers are nothing more than cover ups, with a high oil content to temporarily fill the surface imperfections
In the end, if you're happy with it

Somethings have to be covererd up. Not everything will always come out depending on how the paint has been treated. I think I might try this on my truck... it doesn't get the best care at times

I tried this ice wax today and it is awesome probably the shiniest my car has ever been. We will have to see how long it last and protects.

I just tried it on my car too, looks great and took me maybe 20 minutes total to do the entire car. Bottle says it is a polish, has some type of silicone and polymers in it. I have a silver car and came off easy and didn't leave any residue. It also says the more layers you put on the better the shine gets, I only put 1 quick layer on and wiped off a few minutes later. Works on the plastic parts too.. make sure you don't have water spots or you will still see them a little. Here is a picture I took after I put it on, will look better with a few more layers. It isn't a replacement for a all out wax job, but is perfect for me.

I used some Turtle Wax high gloss wax a long time back, forgot the real name. It was really shiny, the only problem is was pretty damn oily and no matter how much I buffed all I was getting was oily swirls/smears. The funny thing is it rained on the car a day later and rinsed the excess oil off and the car was shiny as a damn diamond.

I will have to get pics up after spending close to 3 days working on taking swirls out and waxing a buddies car. We used meguirs cut cleaner, 2 applications of meguires X scratch remover, 2 coats of the newest turtle wax and 1 coat of the turtle ice polish. Car looks amazing and feels like glass.

You used polish after wax? I assume you were just listing in no particular order. I'd personally like to get the scratches out of the car than cover them up, but it sounds like this ICE stuff is a decent temporary fix.

My car sat for 3 months(I had a foot surgery), so was covered with green alge and pollen...Did a quick wash and applied the ice. Wiped it on and off about 5 minutes later, even did the windows and I think the stuff worked excellent. Car is smooth and feels like I spent hours on it. Couple more layers and it should be great. Here is another picture, silver is tough to get a great picture, looks better in person. Thing is, even if it is a temp fix, you can do the car in 20 minutes, even doing it once a week is less time than waxing, plus my car is a daily driver all year, snow, rain, whatever. So I need a quick solution and this stuff is perfect.

It's alot easier to apply a polish and get good results with a buffer. Polishing by hand takes forever and can't achieve what a machine can. As for wax, most people just apply by hand but you can use a buffer if you want.

Cool thanks for the advice. How long should I let the polish and wax sit before I buff it off. And how long should I work the polish and wax before I buff it off?
-Thanks Brandon
