Default 1st gen sheet metal

Has anyone seen or have any information on the company that is doing the 1st gen camaro sheet metal conversions on the 4th gens? I heard there was an article or something in super chevy about this. Anyone heard of it?

The company is Retro Rides LLC. They are based out of Spanish Fork, UT. Chevy High Performance did an article on the conversion in the June 2006 issue, page 28.

Their work is amazing. You wouldn't know it was a fourth gen until you looked underneath.

Yeah, but not $100,000 worth of awesome. I thought they were offering the kits to bolt right in but I guess you have to have them install it.

That's not the car that I was talking about. The car I was talking about used only the chassis of a 4th gen car, so to retain all the updated tech, (brakes, suspension, driveline, motor, etc.) The inside of it looks completely like a 4th gen because it is a 4th gen. They only produce the modified 4th gen sheetmetal to fit on the 4th gen chassis because the wheelbase is different.

that one that 98redM6 posted is pretty damn cool. however, with the Pro Touring setups out there for the 1st gens, i think u could build a 1st gen to be better than a stock 4th gen. and probably spend about the same or less

That car on the Year one link is one bastardized car. It's so ugly it's not even funny. The 53 vette applied to the 2003 Vette looks WAY better than that 69/02 thing. The other car that's just a stretched 1st gen on a 4th gen unibody looks much better and looks more like a customized 1st gen than a bastardized 4th gen.
