Waxing Windows

Waxing Windows
Haven't seen much discussion on this.
So I love having a waxed car, the water sheets right off of it. It would be nice if the glass did the same thing, plus it would look awesome.
Yes or no? Good or bad?
Should I try my NXT on it?
Turtle Wax Ice says "do not use on glass". Why?
Thanks for any input.

I use Z6 on my glass, water beads up and sheets off, no streaking with the wipers either
That's probably why they don't want you using ICE on the glass, it streaks alot (but that's just a guess)

You can wax or seal your windows, just make sure there are no small chips. Turtle Wax Ice says not to use on windows because of its high oil content. It will streak and smear like no other. (so I assume from what I have read and my experience with other waxes with high oil content) Personally I use RainX on my windows, but some have problems with windshield wipers chattering. Also, clay your windows too.

Waxing your windows will give the same effect as RainX and it will be fine - TILL you need to clean your windows the first time after waxing.
I tried the waxing route once - when I tried to clean them after that there was nothing I could use that would not smear the $hit out of the windows. Took a lot more work to remove the wax than it did to put it on

It doesn't seem to me that using wax of any type would hold up nearly as well as a product like Rain-X. How long does the wax hold up? Does it survive a few gallons of washer fluid?
I'm a long time Rain-x user and am convinced once you learn how to apply it and buff it off properly, you'll never want to drive a car without it. Even when the stuff is a year old you can still very clearly tell the difference. I do my cars prolly twice a year and would never go without it.
