Default Time Frame? Meguiar's 3 step?

I bought the whole meguiars 3step set awhile ago and Ive yet to do all 3 steps in one day. 1st time I washed it, and did the paint cleaner which took about 2 hours then I had to go and couldnt finish. The next I washed it, paint cleaned, then polished it, which took about 4-5 hours and I was just too exhausted to it all again w/ the 3rd step. About how long does the whole thing take for you guys who use it. I try to start washing it later on in the day at like 4-6pm so the sun doesnt damage anything, but by like 9pm and the 2nd step, im pooped.

wimp.

depends on the current condition of the car .. get a PC, it will speed things along some, but more importantly, it will do a much better job than by hand, and with much less fatigue.

doing the entire process correctly can be an all day adventure.

Wash/dry - A little over an hour.
Extra coat of sealant - 20 minutes (with some break time to let it dry)
Full detail (wash, clay, wash, dry, polish, glaze, sealant) - 5-6 hours

And, as Doug can tell you, June in Houston takes a helluva toll on the one doing the detailing.

I just washed, clayed and Meguiars step step about 3 weeks ago. I got up like at 7 and by 11 I was done. I think it came out pretty good. I also did the steps in the garage cause the sun was already out.

It took about 3 hours on my car. I did have a buffer and a friend to help. I waxed it by hand though.

Takes me about 3 hours to wash my car, apply a polish, apply a wax, detail the wheels and tires, clean the windows, wipe down the dash, and vacuum out the inside.

It takes me about a hour and a half to wash and dry the car where it wont leak water.
After the claying, paint cleaner, polish and caranuba, it takesme about 5 to 6 hours. I do every part of the car by hand, door jambs etc.

if you use what most consider the proper technique, two buckets, small areas, top to bottom, two mitts, etc, and then take your time to dry correctly, as not to install swirls, a time frame of about an hour, give or take a little is what it takes ..

I do that and it takes me 30 minutes tops. Maybe because I dry my car with a leaf blower it goes a lot faster?
