This camera sucks. It never takes good pictures in poor lighting.

Try using a tripod and slow down your shutter speed if you can. Although I am right there with you on the camera choice. Good looking bird you have there.

What am I doing wrong when taking pictures when its dark? Ill try to purchase a tripod and slow down the shutter speed, but I dont know if the camera that I have even has that feature.

I basically have this camera...
http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/pa...mc_fx9-review/

The reason I have the camera is because it can fit to the back pocket of my jeans easily when I go on a trip. Its much smaller that a Canon Rebel that I would only use for specific pictures etc. I know this camera is not meant to have the clarity that a Canon would, but those pictures are just crap, and Im not afraid to admit to that either.

Did you try using the night shot option, that may help. Seems like a pretty good camera for the size. It just takes playing with the settings to figure them out. I still have some things to figure out with mine, Fuji FinePix E510.

Ill have to read the manual, if I still have it.

Thanks for the compliments guys and the help with the camera.

So the camera isnt that bad then, huh? I just figured buying a Rebel or a Nikon would be like buying a Ferrari. But I guess an fbody can beat a Ferrari, just depends on who knows how to operate it.

The lens in your camera is supposed to be pretty kick *** from what I have heard. A friend of mine has a SLR camera so I was asking him for help and suggestions. He basically told me that I have a good camera, just read the manual and learn what it can do. Even Ford Pinto's get speeding tickets every now and then I guess.
