Default 98-02 blue color???????
i was recently walking in to a movie the other day when i came across a blue 98 -02 camaro rs..... the color was a lighter blue than the normal indiglo blue that i was used to seeing. it was a medium to light color metalic blue and it looked to be factory...... does anyone have an idea of what this color is..... i run a body shop and in my color book it doesnt distinguish the many colors of blue without the code so any idea what the color was thanks

That is 1999 Bright Blue Metallic. Some call it Baby Blue Metallic as well. I prefer Fathom Blue.

Look it up on http://www.cz28.com/articles/99buildnumbers/index.shtml, they've got everything youre looking for on build numbers and color choices.

Its a very nice and rare blue for 99 F-bodies. I had my old 3rd gen repainted this exact color I have pics in my cardomain link if interested. I've only seen 1 in person myself.

Did it look like mine? Medium Blue Metallic I think is the name. It was a 99 only color from what I'm told.

One of my old friends had a 99 Z28 with the sports appearance ground effects package in an auto. Looked pretty sweet. It is a nice color. I think it would olny look good on the Camaros though, not the TA.

Resident Color Code Expert: 20/WA532F for paint from a shop or 20U for GM touch up paint.
