trans am and ws6 tail lights different?
trans am and ws6 tail lights different? i recently had to replace my pass. tail light. i got one from a ws6. it is a lot darker than the other one. are there different part numbers for tail lights. i've searched and all i can find is one (per side), so what's up with my light. i like the darker one (from the ws6) so i'd like to figure this out to make the DS match.
someone cracked one of my tailights and the body shop told me that from gm you have to order the entire assembley and that gm wont sell just one side. I thought it was weird but i went to a different body shop actually two more cause i wanted the highest insurance claim lol and they all said the whole thing. And its almost $500!! This is the only experience i have with them from the dealer i bought tailights for my 94 and i replaced the cracked one with a recylced light so i never got in depth too much with it. This is only for 98-02 firebirds. If your talking a 93-97 then yes they are very different one is all red and one had a black lined mask over it (the ta) with refelctors at the bottom. What year is your car?

it doesn't have to do with fading, i just went to the dealership and looked at a light right out of the box, looks just like mine. i just found the vht mod write up, that's it. i'm just gonna have to find out how many coats this guy used to match it up. thanks for the input, guys.

i posted it once, and ill post it again, moisture got into one of them, there was another thread on this like a 2 days ago ago.
