Default cutouting nostrils in ram air hood

i have a ram air hood on a 98 and the car isnt ram air so the nostriles are just shut ya know. i want to cut them out because i think it will look a little better. just wondering what the easiest way to do it will be and if i should put anything back in the holes?

Guess I don't understand what you're saying? I've never seen a Ram Air hodd that didn't have the nostrils open (unless this is some type of aftermarket hood?)

Do you mean there are no mesh grilles, just solid blanks where the openings should be?

You might be talking about debaffling - which is an entirely different animal. That entails removing the baffles that are riveted/glued inside the hood directly behind the nostril openings...
