Default Dash LED's, HVAC & HL Switch installed 56K beware

Well I picked up the LED's from a curtisw511 who is a member here. Got them in and today and installed them. Big thanks to curtisw511 for them. They are LED's from ledgauges that he was unable to use, so I made sure they were put to good use . They are the hyperwhite kit. They do appear blue. Enjoy the pics.

-Mike

I just noticed that. I have to check it out again. Might be installed the opposite way. Was getting cold so I called it a day.

Looks good. White is the way to go, because every thing shows up.

Didn't take that long. Maybe 30 min. The instructions were included in the kit and I also used this site for reference when I did the headlamp switch http://www.keliente.com/LED.htm. I do want to change the steering wheel controls. I need to see what is involved in chaging them out. Maybe someone has done it here and can chime in with some info. I will be doing the ASR switch and fog light switch as well. Thanks again for the comments.

Nice job man! Those look sweet! They are the same color I am contemplating to do to my 95 Z. Where did you get the LED's from? I know it was a member, but where did he get them from?

What type of resistor is used when replacing these LED's? It says to solder an LED to the anode part of the LED which I understand, but they don't give you any color codes for the resistors or even a specific one. Can someone chime in?

The one's I got from ledgauges already had the resistor installed on them. I could measure the resistance of a spare one I have left and let you know. Off the top of my head I am thinking that 470 ohms would be fine.

Ok, the reason I ask is because I have tons of resistors at work, but I'd like to use the right one for the job. I'll check around for some 470ohm resistor's tomorrow. I'm not asking you to, but if you could measure one for me, it would be much appreciated!
