I was wondering if it would work and if so, would it be a direct fit. If its also possible, besides a junk yard, where would be the best place to find them? I would also like to hear others opinions about doing the swap. Should I or should I not not swap them?

Being I went from 97-02 style to 93-96 style, I would say leave it, but its your car. In the end its your call, I wouldn't go by what other people tell you. Do what you want to it.
All i know is that it would take some rewiring to keep the amber from staying lit up on low filament with the lights on. Id look around for wiring diagrams or pics and see how 97-02 are different than yours.

All you should need to do is cut the Wire labled B in the tail light wiring harness. It should be the middle harness. You have to do the reverse of this to use the lt1 tail lights on the ls1 camaros. Never done it but it should work. As long as you got a pair of wire strippers and black tape go for it ![The Jester](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_jest.gif)
They will plug right in, The best place to find them would be in the parts classified section or post a wanted to buy ad.

Ive did the swap a few months ago. I found a guy on here that wanted to trade my mint 93-96 tail lights for his 97+ we also switched harnesses to make things alot easier. So all I had to do was put the new harness lights cut a wire that ran from the brake switch to the turn signal switch (I think thats how it was set up) so once I cut the wire I spliced a a wire into the part I cut and ran it back to the rear of the car and spliced it into the 97+ wireing harness.
heres the guide I used to wire it all up. http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/fbody/97lights.htm
Hope this helps its very easy to do and I like the 97+ tails way better.

Thanks, I appreciate the input. I think as soon as I can find a pair locally, I'll make the swap. Thanks for the links also and telling what needs to be done. As soon as I finish making the swap, I'll probibly be selling the stock lights, So if anyones interested, message me or look for them on the parts classified section.
