That same company also makes Carbon Fiber doors, hoods and SS spoilers for the 4th gen Camaro.

That's pretty cool, haven't seen it before. I bet it does knock off quite a few pounds since that's a lot of metal stock. The glass weight is what kills you though.

Would that really be SIGNIFICANTLY lighter than the stock one? I mean the glass is what is really heavy. Maybe a plexiglass one would make more sense.

that would be cool with a ss spoiler and hood then paint them the color of the car and leave a carbon fiber manta

From my experience with working with carbon fiber and purchasing items which claim to be carbon fiber I think this is not something to buy if your interested in saving weight. If I am not mistaken our stock hatches are fiberglass. Carbon fiber is very expensive and to make such a large item your going to need a lot of layers of carbon fiber so that it is tough and will support the glass. Im guessing its probably just fiberglass with a top layer of carbon fiber. So this probably isn't going to weigh any less then the stock piece. It looks nice because of the top layer of carbon fiber but thats about all it does.
