Baseball Bat Fender Rolling fool-proof

Baseball Bat Fender Rolling fool-proof
I have 315 tires on a wide offset 17x11 rim so my tires are getting cut into when I turn. It's so bad that I have to get new tires now. Anyway, I've heard that all I have to do is have a friend hold a bat in my fenderwell and get two or three friends in the back of my car while I roll the car forards and backwards until it is rolled. Does this work well or could I risk denting or kinking my fenders? Is there a better method to doing this or better instruction to doing it this way or does that cover it? Thanks.

This is probably the best tool to use www.fenderroller.com , the only problem is it cost almost $500. The question is your car worth it, I would think so.JMO

buy the tool and sell it. you'll lose money , but then you will get the job done or like Mark IXZD said, have a body shop do it.

I don't trust the baseball bat method, because I can see how one could apply too much pressure o the fender, and push the lip out instead of up. Here is how I did mine, FWIW.
1. Lay on your back on the ground, under the wheel well with the wheel and tire off, looking up at the fender lip.
2. Take a hammer (a claw hammer will do), wrap it in an old t-shirt, rag, or towel. An old glove works well, too.
3. Now with quick firm hits, hit the fender lip rapidly while moving the hammer ~1/2" to 1" between hits. Move it back and forth as you "massage" the fender lip. Repeat the process until the fender lip is bent up almost fully.
You will only need to bend up about a 12" section in the middle. I did it this way on my brand new 2002 Z28, with no ill effects. The only problem I ran into is I cracked the paint ~1", but it is under the lip on the inside, and I touched it up with touch up paint, and you can't even tell it now. Now, most people will tell you not to do it this way, you will ruin your car, blah blah blah. If you are careful, and use light taps instead of whaling on it with the hammer, it can be done in about 5 minutes per side, and, best of all, for free.
NOTE: If you do this, and screw up your car, its not my fault, I'm just telling you how I did mine.
