Thinking about changing up the look a little. I like the shine of the stainless steel or chrome (whatever it is), but I was thinking about powder coating the grill black, but leaving it black would make it look to plane, so then I thought....... to make it pop out more, i could just add a 67-69 SS chrome/white emblem in the center. What do you think i should do? Leave it OR powder coat it?

the black grill will make a world of difference on your car. I did the same to my black z but added a red bowtie instead. I like it alot better than the stainless.

It would look much better powder coated. I got my new grille last week, didn't even put it on the car, it's currently being powder coated. Black of course.

Black looks waaaaay better than polished.

Billet grilles look better black, but if you powdercoat it, be prepared to have it re-done 2 or 3 times a year. It will still chip with rocks hitting it. I'm speaking from experience.

I was just about to say that I powder coated a grille on a SOM SS and it looks awesome.
Let me have a look at that grille sometime man and I'll do it over, no charge.

No offense, but your car looks like it has braces. Powdercoat it black....I would leave off the SS emblems but you could add em if that's what you want

I am not a big fan of chrome and stainless.
I switched the SLP chrome wheels for 35th anv. black ones.

I vote for powder coat but SS only if it is an SS otherwise Z28 or nada.

On black cars I think it looks better polished. On white cars I like it black. All other colors can do either .
