VFN Hood Fitment Instructions?
Anyone got the paper that comes with the hoods to tell you how to go about getting everything all lined up?
Spent about an hour today working on my 3.5" SS hood, ive got about 1/2 gap on each side near the fenders that id like to clean up.
Tony.

I don't have the paper but I have a little guide that I made.

I hope that kind of helps out. The biggest thing that needs to be done, is the hinges. You HAVE to notch them out. Just get a drill and drill out your holes to be a tad bit larger.

I keep trying to 'stretch' the hood, lol. I want it to cover more space that I think it ultimatley will.
I need mine to go left/right, the fitment near the bumper and cowl are awesome..

It could be depending on how bad it is. Usually aftermarket hoods fit weird a little bit in some specific places. I've seen sunoco hoods fit perfectly before though, so I'd say that you could probably go in there and lower the corners a bit. You really have to get in there and play with the brackets.

Just got my Sunoco hood and the rear sits a lil high too. Also the front sits perfect, w/ the exception of the center where the latch pulls it down so it does not sit flush with the nose. I need to add a spacer under the latch or ring. Guess i'll have to notch the hinges too and i'm set. All the gaps are fine though, I'm pleased with the quality of this hood overall.

Seen your pm and noticed these pics - looks like you need to drop your hood down a bit by lowering the hinges, I know it seems like the gap won't close, but once the hood is lowered it'll close these gaps up nicely.
