Default Stuck on 3 waxes?????

Having a hard time on deciding on a wax. Im looking for a good carnauba wax. Ive narrowed it down to tropicare carnauba paste, P21s 100% carnauba, p21s concours carnauba. Would I get any benifit paying the extra 20bucks and getting the 100% carnauba? BTW this is going over tropicare sealant. Thanks

Shoot, if he doesn't take it, I will. I have two details coming up the following two weekends (VW R32 and a Jetta) that I'll be documenting per usual (although I won't have the DSLR due to a mishap ).

However, to answer the OP's question, it all depends on what you are looking for in a wax. Are you the type of perfectionist and avid detailer (or is your customer the type) who can notice the difference between a pure carnauba (or ivory carnauba) and Meguiar's #26? By "good" wax do you mean longest lasting?

It is for my personal car and yes i guess Im a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my paint. Im looking for something to make the paint have that deep wet look. Cant wait to try the tropicare. I have the swirl cutter, sealant, detail spray and love them all.

Well, for your car I wouldn't use a wax, I'd use a sealant. Silvers tend to look better with sealants rather than waxes, particularly if there is some sort of metallic flake. In your case, since you like the depth of a wax, but your silver would benefit from a sealant, you might want to try something like the new Wolfgang Fuzion which purports to blend the best of the both the sealant (reflectiveness) and wax (depth) worlds.

http://www.autogeek.net/wolfgang-fuz...r-car-wax.html

However, it is very pricey and I can't quite speak as to whether it is worth the money or not.

Personally, I would go with Duragloss #105, Opti-Seal (which is really weird when you first use it but really makes silver pop), or even plain old Meguiar's #21 sealant on your car. If you haven't experience the look of a pure sealant, I strongly urge you to pick up some #21 next time you're at the store and start with that. If you like how the sealant looks as compared to a wax, then you can start looking for better sealants that are formulated to be layered to give an even more killer reflectivity.

I'll ask the same question to you... best in terms of what? Longevity? Depth? Ease of use? Layering ability? Protection?
