Default Zoop Seal Substitute?

Anything else out there for sealing polished aluminum other than zoop seal? I can't fathom spending $80 for a once a year application.

$80 sounds like a bargain considering you will spend more than that on aluminum polish in a year to maintain a nice shine on raw aluminum.

Just a thought.

Sorry but there's no way I would spend more than $80 on aluminum polish a year. Meguiar's $12 aluminum polish lasts me a couple years as long as it doesn't turn to paste

Sounds like you don't polish the wheels that often, unless you are buying the stuff by the gallon.

Zoopseal is good for up to two years, so I guess $40 a year is too much for your budget to have the convenience of not having to constantly polish your wheels.

I'd rather work smarter not harder.

You've probably already thought of this, but you can spray a clear coat on the part. Inexpensive, quick, and easy. It won't look as good as un-coated polished aluminum but it will keep it from corroding...

Rejex is an alternative I have been told.

I Zooped mine nearly 2 years ago. This winter I may Rejex instead of reZooping.

Just put a couple coats of NuFinish on them. It's cheap and works well. I would not trust that anything would last for a year or more, unless it's clearcoat.

Zaino should work. Nialic is also an option. It is a spray coating that's sold under the Eastwood name as Diamond Clear.

This isn't for my wheels, my wheels are chrome. This is for my covers in my engine bay. Some are stainless steel and some are polished aluminum
