Project projectors coming along! I bought a nice H4 HID kit off a guy, and bought the regular housing on Ebay.
Well they suck, and not just a little, but the bulb deflector broke in less then 2 days of use. Then the housings made a crappy light output.
so instead of selling the HIDs which i liked, i decieded to try out my own project, and make some projectors. These are the 4x6's found in the LT 4th gens.
progress so far...
i took the old housings apart, grabbed some old Blazer projector housings and made my own. The Blue stuff is just the protective cover over the plexi-glass.
it will come off when everything is dry. currently both look like you see in the picture, once they are dried they will be ready for active duty.

thats cool what you are doing dude. But you should def look into some different projectors. Those are foglight projectors and output won't be all that great even with HIDs. Check out E46 projectors, TSX, or S2000.
The output on those with D2S bulbs retro'd in is pretty substantial (not my photos):

But I would suggest going with another type as fog/driving patterns (even with projectors) vary greatly.

i got them in, ill get pics soon.. they have a odd pattern, but still better then any other housing i could find for less money, as im tight for it right now.
would be nice with better, lower K bulbs, but they do aim pretty good and have a pretty defined spot area.
