Ultra-Z hood Or. SS Hood for 98 Z28?

Ultra-Z hood Or. SS Hood for 98 Z28? The other night I hit a total of 4 deer in my Z. 
The damage is to the right side, Hood, and Roof.
Its going to need a new roof, So I'm going to ask the
body shop to give me a little different style.
Which would look better and would probably be easier for the
body shop to get?

I personally I like the SLP ultra Z hood the best. "If" I ever swap the hood on my Z, I will go with that hood.
Over time, I have come to the point that I really don't like the SS hood (it looks funny from the side). Also there are just way too many of them around (so your car will look like 500 others out there).

Re: Ultra-Z hood Or. SS Hood for 98 Z28? I was in an accident in April, and I had to get a new hood. I got the SLP Ultra Z hood, and I am sure glad that I got it. 
It took awhile to recieve it, maybe about two weeks, but it was well worth the wait. It looks so much better on the car than it did when I had orginally looked at it. It makes a big differernce, and not to many cars have it either. Makes the car look a lot meaner too! Go for it, you won't regret it! I have pics on my page if you wanna check them out.

For looks both are fine.
For functionality SS hood is junk. Ultra Z will give you direct colder air from outside into your box. I have FIPK and the Ultra is the way to go for it garantees incresed volumetric efficiency of your air intake system.

I'm just the guy to talk to!! Check out my sig for the rebuild I did. I bought the car already damaged for $4500. Replaced the windshield, hood, front bumper assy. and the entire driver's side. (also a few extra goodies) Anyways, about the hood, Ultra Z for sure. It's functional and looks terribly mean!!

I think anyone who gets the SS hood is a loser, unless, they had to have it because they could not afford an SS or they were not availible at the time. To me, the Z28 is the modcar. You can do anything to it without destroying the fact that it is the Z/28. the -->SS<-- Hood shouldonly be on a true SS. I think the SS should keep the stock hood, while the Zs go around with the badass cowls, and the bitchin' Ultra Z hood. Maybe there is a reason for calling it the Ultra !!-->Z<--!! hood.
